A session is a block of time in which services are provided to a client and is chargeable.
In Bookings Essential there are 3 types of “sessions”
Regular Sessions
- Regular (Normally Reoccurring during the week)
- These types are created in “Settings-Session Types”
- In the Admin application, these types are displayed in the Schedule, Bookings, and Daily Bookings menus
- While not officially workshops, these class types, can be incorporated into a course.
- So if you want to keep course classes separate then create them from a “Workshop” type.
- In the Clients application they are displayed under the “Sessions” menu (if the “Display Online” checkbox is checked).
- A direct Payment Link can NOT be generated for these
Workshops
- Workshops (Normally occur sporadically and are not greater than 1 day)
- These types are created in “Settings-Workshops”
- In the Admin application, they are displayed in the Workshops, Bookings, and Daily Bookings menus.
- These class types do Not display in the Schedule.
- Several instances of these class types can be used in Courses specifically to keep them separate from the regular schedule
- In the Clients Login Area they are displayed under the “Workshops” menu (if the “Display Online” checkbox is checked).
- If Workshops are used as part of a Course then an option is to display them online for individual purchase separate from the course.
- The Online Description is always displayed
- A direct Payment Link can be generated for these
Courses
- Courses are a collection of either, Regular Classes from the normal Schedule, or several Workshops created in the “Workshops” menu.
- These Types are individually created from the top level “Workshops” menu (seen by hovering over the Schedule menu).
- When chosen for use they are NOT “Auto Filled” by a predetermined session template (i.e. “Setting-Session Types” or “Settings-Workshops”)
- These class types do Not display in the Schedule.
- These class types do Not appear in the Bookings or Daily Bookings Pages… but the classes that makeup the course do.
- This allows for the marking off of attendance.
- In the Clients Login Area they are displayed under the “Workshops” menu (if the “Display Online” checkbox is checked).
- If Workshops are used as part of a Course then an option is to display them online for individual purchase separate from the course.
- The Online Description is always displayed
- A direct Payment Link can be generated for these
- These Types are individually created from the top level “Workshops” menu (seen by hovering over the Schedule menu).
